I always had a God given passion for photography and for capturing His awe and wonder but never thought to pursue it as a career. Then in 2006 I felt led to start my own photography business and of course I said ‘No” many times before finally surrendering to His will. You see I had the hardest time learning and the thought of learning something new was terrifying. I was also facing a “dark world” as I am hearing impaired and at this time in my life I was not yet blessed with hearing aids. So having normal conversations felt impossible and how can you run a business when you couldn’t hear anything your clients were saying?!?!
Then in 2007 I read a book named “One Month to Live” with my small group and felt God speaking directly into my life! It was about the four principals of living a life with no regrets. To Live Passionately, Love Completely, Learn Humbly, and Leave Boldly. Giving all my worries and burdens to him, “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28 “Ask and it will be given to you, seek and the doors will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7. Through this I humbly submitted my will for life and any expectations, fears and anxieties I may have had and started seeking the passion God has put in my heart and soul for capturing the essence of life through my lens.
Tidbits
I have a hunk of burnin love hubby and 3 crazy yet precious chubba's (boy's). I am a stay at home mom who goes out of her mind daily. NO JUDGING! I love, love, love to read in what little spear time I have, normally after 10 pm. Mostly suspense thrillers, the gorier the better. I know, right, I can't watch scary movies but if it’s a book, bring it on! Camping and just being in Yosemite is by far one of my favorite‘s! Right in the middle of His awe and wonder , feeling so small and insignificant yet knowing I’m fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of my Creator. Amazing.
…And yes their is more, I love chasing truth, chips & salsa, Carb's of any kind, Small group with my beloved lady friends, chips & salsa, Cannon ball parties, Sour Patch Watermelon, chips & salsa, watching my boys on the field (lacrosse, football and baseball), did I say chips & salsa yet?, Family dinners, Starbucks for a late night gab fest, or Denny’s at that, really fellowship in every form!
My inspirations
My hubby‘s laugh & determination, Radyn’s heart of courage & justice, Boston’s ridiculous eyes & meek soul and Gage's enormous joyful presence and crazy hair! Bright blue skies, crisp cool air, and Autumn colors. A fresh life, from their fresh nose to their fresh toes. Brilliant colors and to die for textures to name a few.
